4年生と5年生のプレゼンテーション（12/6 & 12/8)

4年生と5年生の先ぱい(senior student)がプレゼンテーションをします。ぜひ、ききにきて下さいね！！

Date: 12/6 (T) & 12/8 (R)
Time: 11:00 AM - 12:15 PM
Place: DBRT 330

Attendance will be counted towards your grade. Every presentation will be done only in Japanese with PPT with English vocabulary translation.

It should be difficult for you to understand everything now. However, it's a very good chance to see "you" in the near future after you keep studying Japanese. Why don't you come and motivate yourself? :)

えいが（12月6日）

火曜日はムービーナイトです。

Next Tuesday is the last movie night for this semester. We will watch "A Boy and His Samurai (ちょんまげぷりん Chonmage Purin, Chonmage Pudding)." It is about the adventures of a samurai who accidentally travels through time from Edo-era Japan to present-day Japan where he meets a single working mother and her young son. Hope to see you there!

来週のムービーナイトは「日本でいちばんながい日」です。

Our next movie is ”Nihon no Ichiban Nagai Hi" (English title: The Emperor in August). The World War II ended on August 15th, 1945. This movie is about what took place in Japan on the previous night.

週末のブログのしゅくだい：しめきり 12/21 月曜日

今週末は、さいご(last)のホームゲームですね。フットボールをみますか？　
それとも (or) ともだちのうちに　パーティーをしにいきますか？
だい６かで　べんきょうしたぶんぽう (grammar)やことば (vocabulary)を　つかって (to use)、「休みの日」について (about) ポストを　かいてくれませんか。

週末のブログのしゅくだい： due 11/14月曜日

1) Watch the following video about しぶや.

2) Compare American cities (e.g. South Bend, your hometown, etc.) and しぶや and find similarities and differences. Think WHY.

3) Write paragraphs in 日本語. Use Verb te-forms & Adjective te-forms. You may also want to use えいご as necessary.

4) Learn about Japanese cities by checking relevant websites if you like.

3) Read your classmates' blog posts (at least three) and leave comments.

Japanese Discussion Table

As some of you gave me helpful advice on the day, time and place for Japanese Discussion Table, I rescheduled them.

When: Thursdays, November 3, 10, 17 and December 1 from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm
Where: the Dooley Room - Room 102 in LaFortune Student Center ( the 1st floor of the Main Lounge)
As you know, Japanese Discussion Table is a place to ask questions about and share your interests in Japan and Japanese culture such as anime, manga, food, places, games and so on in English.
Please come with your friend.
